In the 1930s, my grandparents made the courageous choice to leave Greece and immigrate to the U.S., settling in the Tidewater area. They opened their first restaurant in 1943 on Washington Avenue and began to establish strong ties within the community. My parents moved our family from Columbia, South Carolina to Newport News, in 1961 and it has been home ever since. Through family ties, I was introduced to my first employer, Dr. Henry Hecker. I transitioned into providing audiology services at NASA Langley Research Center for seven years before teaching at Hampton University. In 1993, my passion to provide patient-centered care brought me back to Dr. Hecker & Associates.
I’ve been blessed with the ability to provide each patient with the tools necessary to maintain their ability to communicate with those they love and to hear the sounds of the world around them. This my passion and what makes my life engaging, interesting, and fun!
