Teresa Graham

Clinical Audiologist

Teresa Graham, a thirty year veteran in hearing health care, earned her master’s degree in audiology from Radford University in 1983.

In 1983, Teresa began her audiology career at Hearing Evaluation and Noise Protection Associates, the first private audiology practice in the state of Virginia, under the mentor-ship of Dr. Henry C. Hecker.

Teresa switched tracks from private practice in 1986 and accepted a position at NASA Langley Research Center where she focused on educating employees on prevention of noise induced hearing loss and monitored the hearing levels of the employees working in the high noise areas.

Higher Education called to Teresa in 1993 and she joined the faculty at Hampton University in the Department of Communication Disorders teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in audiology and supervising students in a clinical environment.

In 1998, Teresa came full circle and rejoined Dr. Henry C. Hecker and Dr. Eric Hecker at Dr. Hecker and Associates and has never looked back.

Teresa’s specialty areas include diagnostic evaluations, fitting of advanced digital hearing aids and providing counseling and communication training for both the hearing aid wearer and their family members. Teresa’s years of experience enable her to successfully apply her practice philosophy: CONSIDER THE WHOLE PERSON. This enables her to develop and implement the very best treatment solution for each patient. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

On a more personal note, Teresa and her husband Walt have been married for over thirty years, have three children, Sarah, Josh and Jacob and two grandsons, Hunter and Shane.
